Jo & Alex organized with us one of the most cheerful, fun, 4 day family event of 2016.
On the arrival of guests (which we picked up at the airport with coaches and brought them to Villa Dievole and Castello di Spaltenna) the venue hosted a fantastic BBQ on the patio in the garden. The next day guests were free to explore Siena and Chianti.
The wedding itself was held in Siena’s palace museum which provides a setting full of elegant frescos and Italian history. They chose a harpist and violinist to set the mood.
After the ceremony guests returned to Villa Dievole for a jazzy cocktail hour filled with music from a live trio. Arches and rings of sunflowers and cornflowers filled the gardens. The sit down dinner had an elegant touch – overhead string lights with crystals and spheres with t-light candles. Everything was twinkling!
The bride even decorated all the flower vases herself to add even more to the personal feel of the day. The evening ended with a DJ and sax player livening up the crowd for dancing under a ceiling of fairy lights! The atmosphere was a perfect.
The following day guests gathered at the rustic farmhouse on the property for a picnic dinner. A folk duo played and kids got to ride on the white oxen’s cart.
What a fun wedding for an amazing couple.
