The Abbey at San Galgano in Southern Tuscany is nothing short of a dream. It is one of the oldest churches in Europe and the fact that is has no roof makes it so unique. It is now a venue for civil ceremonies so when our couple, Jennifer and Richard from California, told us that they wanted a magical setting for their ceremony, we agreed this was the perfect venue for them.
We organized a family dinner in Siena their first night, a poolside pizza party catered in at Tenuta Papena the second night and the wedding itself was on a perfect September day with the ceremony at the abbey and the celebrations again at Papena.
The couple added lovely elegant touches like a string trio for music and beautiful florals to these country venues which made their wedding very special.
